I receive a certain amount of money each month from my parents out of their normal income, and it goes into an ISA or savings account. Please can you tell me where I declare it on my tax return? I am confused as regular gifts don't seem to be in any of the help sheets I've looked at and most of the discussions online indicate that I don't have to pay tax on it - but I don't know what that means for declarations. Thanks.

I was a live-in aupair and I only started to freelance in the last two months of the year. As aupair I was paid cash and I kept my savings in a box and once in a while I would put money in the bank for travel cost to my country, phone bills and education. How do I explain all the savings from all my years as an aupair to HMRC since I put quite a lot at once in the bank? will I have to pay taxes over the income gained in 3 years, as for this now I had exceed the lower limit for income taxes and I can't prove my income where it came from? I need to become a self employed now and I don't know nor understand how to fill an online tax return or if you have any suggestions to where I can ask for free self-assessment accounting advice, I would very much appreciate it.
